AREAS AFFECTED: Cape Fairweather to Lisianski Strait; City and Borough of Sitka
DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected. * WHERE...Cape Fairweather to Lisianski Strait and City and Borough of Sitka. * WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 9 PM AKST this evening. * IMPACTS...High winds will blow around unsecured objects and may damage property and cause power outages. Travel by land, sea, or air will be difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is increasing confidence that the strongest winds will impact the outer coast closer to Cross Sound and Lisianski Strait, however variations in storm track remain possible. Anticipate snow showers in the wake of the system.
INSTRUCTION: People are urged to secure vessels and loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind. Report any damage to the National Weather Service by visiting weather.gov/Juneau/StormReports

Fog is technically a type of stratus cloud, which lies along the
ground and obscures visibility.
It is usually created when humidity in the air condenses into tiny water droplets.
Because of this, some places are more prone to foggy weather, such as regions
close to a body of water.
Fog is similar to mist; both are the appearance of water droplets suspended in
the air, but fog is the term applied to the condition when visibility is less than 1 km.
